”Kitchenware Plus” 3890-3892 Pacific Highway, Loganholme QLD ph 34409555. There is ample parking and it is only 20 minutes from the city. Learn Cook Dine cooking school is available to hire out for private and corporate classes.

Pure Food Catering

As a soul woman chef, I possess a natural passion and a deep desire to develop innovative food using quality, safe, clean, fresh produce. Fueled by my Sicilian heritage, my heart always lies within the pages of Italian cuisine although my inspiration and expertise flows into creating a culinary journey of world food flavours.

I pride myself on my integrity, professionalism, effectiveness and success in delivering the same high quality product in any given circumstance or situation. My experience and food flair is showcased with my particular forte in customizing recipes for any specific culinary area and all dietary requirements including specific food allergies, vegan and vegetarian cooking.

Catering for a function is such a personal touch which is sometime lost when catering for large numbers. Pure Food Catering specialises in catering for intimate functions from 4 – 60 people for birthdays, luncheons, intimate weddings, wakes, corporate launches, business openings, hens parties, high teas, baby showers, charity events and more.

Unique to Pure Food Catering is the “Shared Table Banquet Dining” where a variety of themed selected dishes are available for all to share at one sitting and the menu consist of a selection of starters, mains and desserts. This specific style of dining is inspired by my Italian heritage where the pleasure of eating is emphasized by the contrast of flavours, dishes, ingredients and through the passing around of plates so that everyone has a unique connection to the food and to each other. This style is best suited for a luncheon, relaxed dinner , birthday and can be tailored to suit your event.

As your requirements for your function and or event are unique and special, please feel free to discuss your ideas with me for your catering menu. I am more than happy to accommodate any menu to suit your specific style and needs. Pure Food Catering Menus are available upon request and quotes are individually designed based on style and size of function. A selection of menus for Shared Table, Canapé, Salad, Stand-up fork food, sit down a la carte and gourmet breads are available upon request.

Pure Food School Based Cooking Program

My aim is to provide a varied and comprehensive selection of tailored school based cooking classes with an opportunity for students to gain a greater appreciation for healthy whole foods keeping them in touch with modern cooking techniques in a hands-on fun and relaxed environment.

The classes are aimed to assist the Home Economic programs and the progression of the students learning. Classes vary from basic knife skills, to precision cutting styles, basic cooking techniques through to specific cuisine styles all the while focusing on healthy whole foods and fun easy recipes. Classes are also tailored to the ages of students and levels of schooling.

With over 10 years experience facilitating cooking classes at “Mondo Organics Restaurant” in Brisbane’s West End, “Black Pearl Epicure” in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley and “Learn Cook Dine” cooking school in Loganholme. I am extremely passionate about my newest venture, The Pure Food School Based Cooking Program.
The program is a unique concept enabling students to experience hands on cooking classes developing their skills for cooking, recognising ingredients, developing flavours, food presentation and encompassing basic professional cooking and preparation techniques while focusing on following their current school based curriculum.

Classes are held on school premises and during school hours. All ingredients, recipes and related kitchen notes are included in the program. The program includes a selection of classes ranging from hands-on; where each student participates in the chopping, preparation, cooking and serving of the foods or a demonstration based class where some of the students participate in the preparation and cooking but most of the students are watching. Depending on the students ages chopping may not be applicable and therefore classes will be tailored to suit.

Past High School classes have been held at John Paul College, Mt Alvernia College, Canterbury College and A.B. Paterson College, and primary classes held at Mary Immaculate Primary School. The program is fast becoming a welcomed addition to the Home Economics department. Classes are also available to the teachers as a team building event, general interest and or developing and honing new cooking skills. Teachers classes are held after school and on school premises.

Through teaching I feel I am able to share my innate enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for what I have come to learn is an invaluable lesson which will assist any young person in life.
