As a soul woman chef, I possess a natural passion and a deep desire to develop innovative food using quality, safe, clean, fresh produce. Fueled by my Sicilian heritage my heart always lies within the pages of Italian cuisine although my inspiration and expertise flows into creating a culinary journey or world food flavours. I have 15 years experience as a Chef including 7 years as former Head Chef/Catering consultant/ Cooking school director and business partner in the award winning Mondo Organics restaurant in Brisbane’s West End.
In 2007 I created my own chef /consulting business “Pure Food Cooking” with a focus and purpose to inspire and generate awareness in cooking using natural whole foods, and fresh organic produce to improve health, balance and life vitality. My unique style and a combination of simple, well-developed flavours is paramount in my menu designs, cooking presentations, private cooking classes and demonstrations, recipe development, product promotions, food styling, guest chef events and consulting work.
I currently facilitate cooking classes at “Black Pearl Epicure” in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley and “Learn Cook Dine” cooking school in the show room kitchen of “Kitchenware-plus in Loganholme where my innate enthusiasm and natural teaching abilities allow me to share my knowledge and passion for excellent food and nutrition. Recently I have also begun working with various primary and high schools in Brisbane facilitating cooking classes to compliment the home economic programs and teaching students about healthy fun food.

I pride myself on my integrity, professionalism, effectiveness and success in delivering the same high quality product in any given circumstance or situation. My experience and food flair is again showcased with my particular forte in cooking, customizing recipes and menu development for all dietary requirements including specific food allergies, vegan and vegetarian cooking.
My mission for the future is to complete my first cook book due to be released in 2011 and further develop my cooking school and catering business and involve myself in various charity works supporting women and families and teaching healthy cooking and lifestyle changes.
I am also furthering my TV career with my 5th year on channel 10 Ready Steady Cook and welcoming a variety of new cooking programs, branching further into recipe development, food styling and product promotions with several ambassadorships with local and international companies.
